Anything You Can do I can do Better

What is gender? That question is one of the hottest topics in our society right now. Are there differences in boys and girls other than the obvious? In my humble opinion - yes!

Alright I have a little story time and do not worry, I promise this has a point! I worked at a certain hedgehog named fast food restaurant and got hot oil splashed on my left hand. It got all over my fingers and made it impossible to bend my fingers the same way. For the whole week I couldn’t use my hand the same way and my right hand had to step up! Even though I'm right-hand dominant it was hard! I fumbled a lot and couldn’t do tasks as quickly as I used to. It made me realize how valuable it is to have both hands. Even though my hands are different they are similar in purpose.

Differences between men and women can be poetic, like the Ying and Yang you can't have one without the other. It doesn't mean that one is better than the other, both genders need each other to balance each other out. In families' parents work together to raise children in a healthy and stable household. Its like watching how hands work. They work together to get tasks done. Almost like they have their own communication from doing simple tasks like washing dishs to more complex ones like playing the piano. They complement each other, and you can't imagine going through life without one.

In the society that we live in people would have you believe that the differences between men and women are to big to even spend your time on a relationship. We could never hope to understand the other sex they are too complex! Focus on yourself, you don’t need anyone!. We see this in the media we scroll through or the opinions of others that we listen to.

Sheri Dew claims that “No marriage or family, is likely to reach its full potential until husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, men and women work together in unity of purpose, respecting and relying upon each other’s strengths.” Our differences unite us far more than they separate us. When in a relationship with someone we want to find someone, whose strengths will highlight your own and help you overcome weaknesses. Sheri Dew also reminds us that There is no limit to what you can accomplish if you will work together, equally yoked.”
